Comments from driver Michel Lachance
"Art's Conquest was just like a machine to
drive. He was very consistent from week to week. He had all the qualities of a
top horse— high speed, a good head, just a perfect horse to drive. A lot of
horses have either speed, or the ability to grind. Art's Conquest had speed, but
he could also carry his speed a long ways. The night he was third in the
Meadowlands Pace, he came from last, and paced his last quarter in :25.4. He won
several times from the first-over spot at the Meadowlands and that is still very
rare. I think he should make an excellent stallion. He had no faults as a
racehorse."
